Join Clive Lyttle at the Rediscovery Centre for an Ulster Potato Basket Workshop, where you will learn traditional weaving techniques and create your own basket.

Step into the rich tapestry of tradition and discover the charm of traditional basketry in this beginner friendly workshop. Once found in every home, these classic baskets are made on a simple frame with ribs added as you go.

Led by Clive Lyttle from Welig Heritage Crafts, this workshop provides all the tools and materials you need. During this workshop, Clive will guide you through creating your very own potato basket. You'll learn various weaving techniques, discover the rich history behind Ulster potato baskets, and have the opportunity to ask questions and share stories with fellow participants. It's a perfect opportunity to learn a timeless craft in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
